The first week of June 2015 Sandy Lyle played in the Principal Charity Classic 2015 on the Wakonda Club in Des Moines, Iowa. The Principal Charity Classic® is an exciting, family-friendly event that greatly contributes to the economic vitality and quality of life in central Iowa.
On 7th of May 2015, Sir Nick Faldo and Sandy Lyle accepted invitations to become honorary members of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews
Before a sell-out crowd of almost 600 guests at the annual showpiece jointly-organised by the Scottish Golf Union and Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association, the 2-time Major champion received a richly-deserved standing ovation as he collected the final award of the night.
